When the Second World War was proceeding, Adolf Hitler, who was the leader of the Nazis, thought that the Jews were inferior to the Germans. So he planned to kill the Jews with the Nazis, and materialized his plan.
The Nazis undiscriminatingly slaughtered the Jews and a case in point is the Auschwitz Concentration Camp case. In addition, many people such as the Soviet Jews, the Chekhs, the homosexuals, and the communists were cruelly massacred. About two million of the victims were massacred at various concentration camps.
He also distinguished the Jews. They were discriminated against in politics, economics, culture, etc. These brutal incidents were called the Holocaust.
The term ‘Holocaust’ derived from a Greek word meaning ‘burnt sacrifices made for god’. The Holocaust continued ‘till May 9th, 1945. It was thought by many people to be the most terrible accident in the 20th century.
After the Second World War ended, many survivors who were captive remained as displaced persons. About seven hundred thousand Jews moved to Israel ‘till 1951. Of these, 136,000 people became refugees of Europe. The crimes commited during the Holocaust destroyed most of communities for the Jews and organizations in Eastern Europe. Also, the Nazis and the war criminals were judged and punished by the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal.
